Please keep in mind that while we try to accommodate each volunteer's interests, placements are made according to the volunteer's skills and work experience, and the current needs of host organizations. Special experience and educational background is needed to volunteer in Women's Issues, Environment, Disabled persons and other, but not necessary for Teaching.

Terms and Condition

Please attach 4 current passport size photographs, personal resume and the application fee of Euro 50. The application fee is non-refundable and will not be applied to the volunteer program fee.

The reactivation fee of Euro 30 must accompany requests for reactivation of previous applications canceled by the applicant.

After the applicant is notified of acceptance in the volunteer program and one and a half month prior to the program's commencement date, the first installment of the program fee, Euro 300, has to be deposited to the account of Cultural Destination Nepal. The second installment of Euro 350 is payable upon arrival in Kathmandu and should be made in cash in Nepali currency. The entire program fee of Euro 650 may be paid at the time of the first installment payment. If the volunteer chooses to pay the full fee upon arrival in Nepal Nepali currency is preferable. If paying by traveler's cheques, personal check or money order, the volunteer is then expected to cover the cheque realization cost.

Refund of program fees upon cancellation will be handled as follows:

50 % of the first installment will be refunded if the applicant cancels prior to one month before the program's commencement date.

75% of the program fee will be refunded if the applicant cancels prior to one month before the program's commencement date and had paid the entire program fee at the time of their first installment.

0% of the program fee will be refunded if the applicant cancels within a month of the program's commencement or if the applicant cancels after arriving in Kathmandu.

100% of the payments made will be refunded to the applicant if Cultural Destination Nepal cancels the program.

The program fee is non-transferable and there will be no refunds available for omission of part or all arranged activities.

Applicants are responsible for their own insurance - health, personal and property - and should inquire about obtaining international coverage through their own insurance organizations. Cultural Destination Nepal cannot be held responsible for any kind of personal or property damage of the participant during the program.
